COAST GUARD GAMING PARTICIPATION IN VETERANS DAY VALORANT INVITATIONAL

1. Per Ref (A), the Community Services Command (CSC) Morale, Well-being, and Recreation (MWR) continues to partner with the Coast Guard Recruiting Command (CG RC) to align the Coast Guard with the other Services' Esports programs to support readiness, retention, and resiliency within the service. The commands established Coast Guard Gaming (CGG) to create an inclusive gaming community where all ages, ranks, and backgrounds can come together and share fun gaming experiences. It forms positive relationships, enhances the competitive spirit, and improves esprit de corps.

2. Warrior GMR Foundation, focused on promoting health, wellness, and community-engagement through gaming has decided to host a Valorant tournament on Veterans Day, in conjunction with Shenandoah University and Gold Star Families.

3. Shenandoah University will host participants, on behalf of Warrior GMR, for the Veterans Day Valorant Invitational, where branches of the United States will compete and unite with a diverse group of amateur
gamers and viewers.

4. CG RC will fund the members chosen to represent the Coast Guard for the following event.

a. 09-13 November 2022: Veterans Day Valorant Invitational, Shenandoah University, VA.

5. Active Duty members interested in applying should join the CGG Discord to learn about opportunities and online qualifiers. CGG admin and moderators manage the server and advise CG RC of team selections upon command endorsements. Interested gamers can access the CGG Discord through personal devices at the link below. 6. Gamers should join the CGG community to keep up with the latest developments for the advertised schedule and other virtual gaming opportunities. CGG admin/moderators will manage all inquiries via the Discord channel.
