Coast Guard MWR provides a variety of recreational, sports, and leisure programs and services for all eligible patrons. The MWR Intern Program offers students earning college credit toward a degree in a MWR-related field the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, while assisting with our mission to uplift the spirits of the Coast Guard Family.

How to Apply
Please take a look at the links to the right for information on possible internship locations, duty descriptions, what to expect, and how to apply. The deadline to apply is 60 days prior to start date of the internship. If selected for an internship, we will conduct a suitable background investigation for your intern position. Assignment decisions (including continued participation in the internship program) based on background check information shall be at CSC or command's sole discretion. MWR MANAGERS
Please take a look at the links below for the 4 required administrative forms:

PIK Agreement, for MWR Manager to complete on arrival for all non-pay interns.

Mid-Term Evaluation, for MWR Manager to complete at mid-point of internship.

Internship Feedback Evaluation, for intern to complete prior to receiving the Final Evaluation.

Final Evaluation, provided by MWR Manager after intern completes the Internship Feedback Evaluation.
