The Community Services Command (CSC) solicited
for MWR CIF projects. 186 projects valued at $14.4M were submitted.
Of those, 63 projects valued at $3M were selected this year by the
MWR Capital Investment Board (CIB). Additionally, 22 projects from
FY25, totaling $2M, will be rolled over into the FY26 execution
plan.

The Coast Guard Exchange System's (CGX's) Scholarship Program
provides scholarships to student dependents of Coast Guard active
duty, reserve, or retired members, current civilian employees
(non-appropriated or appropriated fund), and current Coast Guard
auxiliarists who meet the eligibility requirements of Ref A.
a. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $2,000 and will
be awarded to the most outstanding applicants based upon academic
achievement, accomplishments, interests, participation, and
demonstrated leadership in both school-oriented and community/
volunteer activities.

ALCGPSC 008/26 announced that Coast Guard Rugby will compete in the 2026 Men's Armed Forces
Rugby Sevens Championship, held in conjunction with the RugbyTown
7s tournament in Glendale, CO, from 19-24 August 2026.

ALCGPSC 009/26 announced that the Coast Guard recognizes sports as an essential component of
health, physical fitness, and mission readiness. To support
active-duty members, the Community Services Command (CSC) MWR
Program provides non-appropriated fund (NAF) assistance to help
offset costs associated with authorized individual sports
competitions through their Sports Participation Grant Program.

This announcement highlights the opportunity for Coast Guard service members on active duty to participate in the Armed Forces Sports (AFS) program, with the potential to further represent the United States military in international sports competitions. It also emphasizes that the Coast Guard Sports Office facilitates member participation on Coast Guard and Navy service teams.

The Coast Guard is looking for members to apply to join the Armed Forces Sports Program, which offers active-duty members the chance to represent the Service and compete with the other branches on the national and international stage. The Coast Guard competes alongside the Navy on All-Navy Sports teams against the other branches — except in rugby and golf, where the Service fields its own teams. This announcement solicits nominations for the Elite Male and Female Athletes of the Year (EAOY) for 2025. The period of consideration is 1 Jan 2025 through 31 Dec 2025. Nominations must be received by the Community Services Command (CSC) no later than 23 Jan 2026.

Thanks to the generosity of the CGF SMF, Coast Guard units have acquired exercise, morale, and recreational equipment that has greatly improved the quality of life for Coast Guard personnel and their families.

Approved NAF Year 2026 MWR NAF budgets are due to the cognizant authority for MWR purposes no later than 30 November 2025.

The 2025 Coast Guard Exchange System Scholarship Winners

The Non Pay Compensation Program Board of Directors approved a formalized 40 percent profit share between the CG Exchange (CGX) and CG MWR.

The Community Services Command (CSC) is proud to announce the launch and pilot phase of the Single Coastie Program (SCP), a category A MWR Activity designed to enhance the quality of life, support networks, and overall well-being of single service members service wide.

The program supports grants for individual competition entry fees during NAF year 2025 (1 Feb 25 through 31 Jan 26).

USCG golfers CWO2 Adam Dodson (Cyber Command), PO2 Nicholas Marshall (Sector Columbia River), and PO2 Zachary Rudy (Marine Safety Unit Houma) qualified for 3 of the 6 Navy roster positions.
