YEAR, MWR PROGRAM OF THE YEAR, AND MORALE PROGRAM OF THE YEAR

Pleased to announce the selections for MWR Professional of the Year!!!!

A. ALCGPSC 120/25
1. In accordance with reference (a), a selection board convened to review
nominations for the Annual MWR Awards.
2. I am pleased to announce the following selections for MWR Professional of
the Year:
a. Junior MWR Professional of the Year: SK2 Dylan J. Eldridge, Base Seattle.
SK2 Eldridge serves as a cornerstone of the MWR program at CG Base
Seattle, consistently performing above his paygrade and filling the
duties of a vacant GS-7 Recreation Assistant. His leadership and
initiative significantly strengthened MWR operations across the Pacific
Northwest including executing procurements over $77,000, generating more
than $25,000 in revenue for morale initiatives, and delivering critical
support to operational units and families. He provided exceptional
customer service and logistical leadership for major command and
community events directly enhancing morale, readiness, and quality of
life for Coast Guard members and their dependents. His professionalism,
dedication, and measurable impact on the Coast Guard community make him
highly deserve this recognition.
b. Senior MWR Professional of the Year: Mrs. Julia Rosa, GS-12, Base Boston.
Mrs. Rosa serves as the Supervisory Recreation Specialist at CG Base
Boston where she revitalized and transformed the MWR program through
visionary leadership, operational excellence, and strategic partnerships.
She manages a diverse portfolio of programs and facilities while
providing regional oversight and funding distribution to 25 morale
programs across District Northeast. Her leadership drove the successful
reopening and rebranding of the Two If by Sea All Hands Club,
modernization of fitness and recreation facilities, and restoration of
critical MWR services following program closures. Through exceptional
customer service, financial stewardship, and community collaboration,
she strengthened morale, readiness, and quality of life for Coast Guard
members and families throughout the Boston area and the broader District
Northeast, make her highly deserve this recognition.
c. Junior MWR Professional of the Year Runner-up: Ms. Nedra Reddick
d. Senior MWR Professional of the Year Runner-up: No Submission
3. The following are the winners for MWR and Morale Programs of the Year.

b. Medium MWR Program of the Year
1. First Place: BASE BOSTON
2. Runner Up: BASE ALAMEDA
c. Small MWR Program of the Year

d. Large Morale Program of the Year
1. First Place: SEC HOUSTON GALVESTON
2. Runner Up: HITRON
e. Medium Morale Program of the Year
1. First Place: No Submission
f. Small Morale Program of the Year
1. First Place: ANT KEY WEST
2. Runner Up: STA CHATHAM
4. Award recognition will be forwarded to each command for presentation at an
appropriate award ceremony. NAF Cash awards will be awarded to each of the
first-place winners and runner-ups in each category per reference (a). Further
guidance will be provided to units when funds are transferred.
5. Congratulations to all award winners and commands for taking the time to
participate in the Annual MWR Awards and recognizing the contributions MWR
makes to support the readiness, retention, and resiliency of the Coast Guard
family.
